Ford began producing their own carburetors in 1957 with the 2100 and 4100 models. The 4100 is the four-barrel version of the 2100. The first generation 2100 and 4100 ("Aardvark") were unique and used a different accelerator pump than the 1958 and up models. Revised model 4100 four-barrels ("Shoebox") were produced until 1968 and the 2100 until the mid-70s. The 2150, which used an externally mounted choke pull off on the passenger side was produced until 1986.

Starting in 1967, Ford made a new four-barrel, the 4300 series and a few years later the 4350. These were produced until 1978. The 4350 can be distinguished by the air valve above the secondary venturi. In 4300s, there is a velocity valve below the venturi cluster.

The 1100 was a small one-barrel carburetor produced from 1963-1969 and is used on many six-cylinder engines in Mustangs, F100s and so on. The 1250 is a similar model made by Ford of Sweden and was used on a few four-cylinder cars in the early 70s and on many four-cylinder industrial engines, including Bombardier snow machines.

Early Ford carburetors were sold under the Autolite name; in the 70s and 80s they were referred to as Motorcraft.
